WHAT IS THIS? |
|
Normally, baked products are dominated by high glycaemic index amylopectin starch (e.g., potatoes, rice and white bread, etc.). Enerzona has instead selected a type of starch that is rich in amylose, and which accordingly has a low glycaemic index. A specific maltodextrin, this resistant dextrin contributes towards reducing the glycaemic indices of the other carbohydrates with which it is consumed. After eating the shortbread, the abundance of fibre ensures a prolonged sensation of satiety. Soya proteins are capable of ensuring a glucagon/insulin ratio better than any other protein. More than 75% of the fat content is extra virgin olive oil; the other fat sources are hazelnut and soya lecithin. |
